Heres To Your Health

Healthy Living and Healthy Lifestyles!

Members of the KCC Foundation believe strongly in and embody healthy lifestyle practices.  They recommend minimizing the exposure of oxidative stress such as smoking and sunburn.  They also encourage refraining from processed foods, use of plastic containers and microwave ovens.  Diets rich in antioxidants are essential for the prevention of cancer.  Antioxidants are found abundant in beans, grain products, fruits and vegetables. Look for fruits with bright color - lutein in some of the yellow pigments found in corn; orange in cantaloupe, butternut squash and mango; red from lycopene in tomatoes and watermelon, and purple and blue in berries.  It is best to obtain these antioxidants from foods instead of supplements.
